This week’s #FriFotos theme is “Orange” so I present my colorful “orange” photos in art, nature, food and sports encountered during my travels.
My recent trip to Seattle, introduced me to the Chihuly Garden and Glass – so many colors, of course, orange is represented quite well throughout the exhibit.
Visiting the Keukenhof Tulip Garden in Amsterdam, I was overwhelmed with color everywhere, not much orange during my visit but did find this photo among my many tulips.
Surprisingly, my miracle cooking class in Lima (prior post) used a pepper sauce that was orange. So when I mixed this into the mashed potatoes they created a nice orange mixture to form my tasty appetizer of chicken and avocado with the pepper kick of spice. So score one for orange food.
Finding orange in Art along the way…The Chicago Art Institute, in Africa (along the Garden Route) and here in Philadelphia at the Barnes (definitely a MUST see, sadly they do not allow photos to be taken)
Along the waterfront in Bodrum, Turkey on the Celebrity Constellation cruise from Istanbul.
In Sports: The Orange & Black is the nickname for the Philadelphia Flyers, our NHL team. It is probably the only piece of orange clothing i own as a fan. The Flyers represented at the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto, a bittersweet quest for me.
That’s my quick travel tour of “orange” – hope you enjoyed it and have an opportunity to catch up on past posts noted above. Make sure you check out the Twitter #FriFotos submissions and if you have an “orange” photo please share it with the community and join the fun.
